French Air Force Collaborates with U.S. Coast Guard in Aviation Exchange
U.S. Coast Guard Hosts French Air Force for Aviation Exchange
A team of seven members from the French Air Force arrived at Air Station Barbers Point on March 4, 2024. They came to learn from the U.S. Coast Guard air crews during a week-long exchange. The French crew flew a CN235 Casa aircraft and hailed from French Polynesia, Tahiti. Commander Victor Yaguchi briefed the French crew on March 6 according to the article of USCGN. He explained the missions of the U.S. Coast Guard aircraft and what the station could do. Captain Maurice Murphy in charge of the station talked about how important it is to work together with the French Air Force especially in the Pacific region.

U.S. Coast Guard and French Air Force Exchange Training
During the week French crew used the station as their base. They flew around the Hawaiian Islands to practice different skills. They learned how to talk well in the busy airspace followed U.S. flying rules and saw how the Coast Guard saves people at sea. This exchange happens regularly showing how the U.S. Coast Guard and the French Air Force work together to keep the sea safe.
