Quaker Oats is recalling granola bars and cereals due to salmonella contamination. The FDA has been notified. The recall includes Quaker granola bars, cereal boxes, and snack boxes. This FDA-ordered action covers all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam, and Saipan. Quaker informed the FDA of no recall-related illnesses. Due to severe cases, vulnerable persons experience diarrhea, fever, stomach pains, nausea, and vomiting from salmonella.
Quaker has recalled several items, including Big Chewy Bars, Chewy Bars, Puffed Granola Cereal, and Simply Granola Cereal. The recalled products are of certain flavors. It also comes with some snack boxes that have Quaker Chewy bars in them. On the Quaker website, you can find the full list, along with UPCs, expiration dates, and pictures.
The company says that no other Quaker products are touched by the recall and that it only affects these specific items.
