A US activist and comedian, Tou Ger Xiong, has been found dead with deadly stabs in Colombia after reportedly being held for ransom.

Tou Ger Xiong Kidnapped and Killed While on Vacation in Colombia
According to PEOPLE, Tou Ger Xiong’s family had stated that the comedian and activist was kidnapped and killed while he was on a vacation in Colombia.
Tou Ger Xiong, a well-known activist in the Twin Cities Hmong community was reportedly kidnapped in Medellin after he went out on a date with a woman he met on social media.
Currently, Tou Ger Xiong’s family is cooperating with the law enforcement agencies investigating the crime and what led him to his demise.
Tou Ger Xiong Held at Gunpoint When Asking for Ransom
According to FOX, Tou Ger Xiong had called a friend in Colombia around 7 p.m. on a Sunday, saying that the men who kidnapped him were demanding $2,000 in cash for his release. His friend also stated that he was told Tou Ger Xiong was being held at gunpoint.
However, before any ransom could be sent, Tou Ger Xiong’s body was found in the water of a ravine in La Corcovada, Medellin. Tou Ger Xiong’s body had multiple stab wounds and blunt force trauma.
The police are still investigating whether the group decided to kill Tou Ger Xiong because he may have tried to escape from his kidnappers.
