Jimmie Gardner has been taken into custody by Florida officials for allegedly engaging in sexual activity with a minor before assaulting the victim.

Jimmie Gardner, Stacy Abrams’ Brother-in-Law, Arrested on Human Trafficking Charger
According to FOX, Stacy Abrams’ brother-in-law and a youth motivational speaker, Jimmie Gardner, has been taken into custody and is facing serious charges of human trafficking, battery, and lewd or lascivious touching of a minor. Jimmie Gardner is currently in Hillsborough County with no bond.
The 57-year-old Jimmie Gardner allegedly engaged in sexual acts with a 16-year-old girl before assaulting her during an altercation early Friday morning at the Renaissance Hotel at International Plaza, according to Tampa Police.

Jimmie Gardner Incident at Renaissance Hotel
According to WFLA, Jimmie Gardner met the teen at the Renaissance Hotel at around 1 a.m. and invited her to his hotel room which she accepted before paid sex was offered.
When the young girl no longer wanted to engage with Jimmie Gardner, the man became angry. The two got involved in a verbal altercation that escalated to a physical dispute after Jimmie Gardner placed his hands around the teen’s neck, impeding her breathing.
The victim was later found in the hotel room but Gardner had already left. However, Jimmie Gardner later turned himself into the Police Office and was charged with human trafficking, lewd and lascivious touching of certain minors, and battery.
