Parking is a bit like politics. Everyone seems to hold an opinion about it. It’s also an easy way to anger a lot of people in a relatively short time. However, some people are just born to navigate the tightest spaces of busy lots and city streets. Like this driver and their seemingly impossible parking job.

Typically, when you see an overhead camera view of a vehicle reversing into a tight space between two cars, you expect things to end poorly. There are just too many things that could go horribly, hilariously wrong. Not in this case, though.
A security camera shows several cars parked against a building’s facade and another small car parked along the street. The gap between the two nearest vehicles seems a bit too tight for another car.
But that didn’t stop a white Honda Civic from approaching it in reverse and slipping right past both parked cars. The Civic driver then reversed into position. No damage, no drama. Just a smooth, well-executed parking job.
It wasn’t a pair of economy cars the driver reversed around, either. To accomplish the skillful maneuver, the Civic driver narrowly avoided hitting a white F30 BMW 3-Series. And next to that car? Another BMW. No pressure here.
Now, the vehicle is a 10th-generation Honda Civic. While that doesn’t sound like much of a standalone statement, it matters. The 10th-gen Civic ran from 2016 to 2021 when Honda replaced it with the 11th-gen FE model. Even the earliest 10th-generation models featured backup cameras as standard equipment.
Admittedly, a multi-angle backup camera makes reversing a cinch compared to the analog approach. However, a clear rear-facing camera isn’t a guarantee for a perfect parking job. Never reverse without paying attention to your surroundings, including the space beyond the view of your backup camera.
