At the Watauga Humane Society, located in North Carolina, Dos still waits for a home he can call his own. He’s been waiting for love for 650 days. His story is heartbreaking.
Dos’ past is murky at the best. He was found tied to a tree with a note that said:

he’s a bit territorial, but he’s a good boy.
At the time, Dos was barely six-months of age, and although he was abandoned, he has been very loving and affectionate. When he first arrived, he didn’t do well adjusting to shelter life, and he became extremely stressed. And even though kind hearted people had offered to foster him, Dos always had the bad luck to be returned to the shelter.

One day the pup’s life changed. An experienced foster mom with a huge back yard and a playful pup of her own stepped up and offered to help Dos. His transformation, according to the organization was nothing short of amazing. From a high-strung dog, he turned into a “playful, loving marshmallow who adores squeaky toys and snuggles.”
And now we have a perfect pooch looking for his forever family. He remains in a foster home, but if you think he could be your “bestie” please call and arrange to meet him. This 48-pound, two-and-a-half-year old bundle of love, just wants to go home – to his real home, where that old fading memory of having been left tied to a tree all alone and frightened is long gone.

If you would like to meet him, please email [email protected] to set up a good time and place.
