Don’t be fooled by American Truck Simulator ‘reaching the end’. Route 66 is being added.
I don’t judge people for playing American Truck Simulator. While the game isn’t my cup of tea, it has a huge following. People use it to simulate driving a semi-truck for hours. However, some fans are worried as its reaching the end.
Don’t worry about American Truck Simulator reaching the end
American Truck Simulator allows people to unwind after a stressful day as they drive semi-trucks from the comfort of their own homes. Even real truck drivers love taking digital rigs for a spin.
According to Traxion, some users were concerned after the game stated that it was reaching the end. They don’t want their scenic drives to end.
But luckily, this is just a teaser. The game is actually trying to complete its in-game depiction of Route 66. The Czech studio will release new content in a massive DLC update.
Currently, the game’s eastern route ends in Illinois. But Route 66 will have more states to explore. Route 66 is 2,448 miles long and passes through Arizona, California, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, and Texas.
Content in Iowa, Louisiana, and Iowa are in progress. Plus, California is being reworked. Virtual truckers will have a lot of beautiful county sides and bustling cities to enjoy.

Route 66 was established in 1926 and quickly became romanticized as truckers helped to increase trade. The speedy route allowed economic growth during the Great Depression.
But it lost some of its magic as modern highways and interstates were developed, allowing for faster travel. As a result, many towns that boomed during its heyday have been abandoned.
This has provided the route with plenty of ghost towns to explore that have been added to the game. I’m sure virtual truckers are excited to fully explore the entire route. Seriously, these simulator games are bigger than you think.
