A Step towards Cleaner Air and Safer Travel amid COVID-19 Academic Challenges

The EPA is providing funding for green school buses across 47 states to improve air quality and student safety. However, American public school students are still struggling academically due to COVID-19 disruptions.

President Biden’s climate agenda includes transitioning school buses to greener options. But, national test scores show a decline in student performance especially in areas with prolonged school closures and remote learning, according to the report of Daily Caller.

Green School Bus Funding in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Bridgeport Falls Short amid Academic Struggles

In Maryland and Pennsylvania schools are receiving funding for green buses, yet students are struggling with math and reading proficiency. Similarly, in Bridgeport, Connecticut despite the investment in green buses educational outcomes remain low.

While the Biden administration focuses on environmental progress it’s essential to address the educational challenges students face to ensure their success.

Furthermore, the EPA’s initiative aims to enhance environmental sustainability by funding green school buses across 47 states. However, despite this environmental push American public school students continue to face academic difficulties exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
