Child Care Tax Credit Proposal Faces Opposition in Missouri Senate
In Jefferson City, Missouri there’s a big debate about giving tax breaks to help with child care. Senator Lauren Arthur wants to create a Child Care Tax Credit, according to the published article of My Courier Tribune. This would help parents pay for child care help employers who offer child care and also assist child care centers. But some senators especially from the Freedom Caucus, are stopping it. They’re arguing over whether this tax credit is a good idea. Some senators like Bill Eigel, think it might not help everyone. They want to find a different way to help families. But Senator Arthur says some senators are just playing politics. They want to stop this tax credit to push for their own ideas first.

Collaborative Efforts Needed to Secure Passage of Child Care Tax Credit in Missouri
