According to The Cool Down, President Joe Biden wants to improve America’s public transit services in 2025. He’s asking for a lot of money: $16.8 billion for buses and $3.2 billion for trains. This is a big increase from before. The goal is to make public transit services better and safer for everyone especially older Americans and those with disabilities.

Biden‘s $16.4 Billion Plan for Greener, Safer, and Accessible Public Transit Services in 2025 – Investment Breakdown

A big chunk of the money $14.3 billion will go to making buses better. They want more Americans to use buses and they want to use buses that don’t pollute the air. Another $2.4 billion will go to improving trains making them more comfortable and reliable. They also want to help smaller groups like Native American transit and make it easier for Americans to use bikes and scooters. Alongside this they’re putting $16.4 billion into improving trains. They want to replace old trains make stations better for everyone and fix things that have been left broken for a long time. Their aim is to make trains safer and more efficient. This all fits with their plan to move away from cars that harm the environment and use cleaner forms of transportation.
