According to WTAP, this week West Virginia Governor Jim Justice said “no” to HB-5105 a law that wanted to get rid of vaccine rules in certain schools. Jim Justice listened to doctors who were worried about what could happen if this law passed. He talked about how important it is to keep strong rules about vaccines. He pointed out that West Virginia usually has very few cases of diseases like mumps and measles because of these rules.

Local doctors supported Governor Jim Justice‘s decision to reject HB-5105 recognizing West Virginia‘s strict vaccine rules as crucial for public safety. While celebrating this victory Mullen emphasized the importance of remaining vigilant to protect public health against future threats to vaccine rules.
