According to The Columbian, Washington state lawmakers have put more money into helping undocumented immigrants get healthcare benefits. They added $28.4 million to keep covering the 16,000 people who applied for help recently. Since 2023, Washington has been allowing undocumented immigrants to get private health insurance or Medicaid through Healthplanfinder, making it easier for them to access healthcare benefits.
