Bankrupt drugmaker Endo International has reached a $465 million settlement with the U.S. government, addressing various issues including law enforcement taxes and healthcare costs. The agreement includes a payment plan of $365 million over the next decade, with a potential additional payment of $100 million based on post-bankruptcy business performance. Alternatively, Endo can opt for a $200 million one-time payment upon exiting bankruptcy. This settlement is a crucial step for Endo as it navigates thousands of lawsuits linked to its alleged role in the U.S. opioid epidemic.

$465 Million Settlement Marks Progress!
Having filed for bankruptcy back in August 2022 to address the onslaught of lawsuits linked to the opioid crisis Endo has been navigating a complex legal landscape. With this $465 million settlement it’s moving closer to resolving its legal troubles and focusing on its path forward. Endo has already committed to paying around $600 million to settle with states and individuals affected by the opioid crisis highlighting its determination to put this chapter behind it and move forward with its business goals.
