Armored robberies in the 2nd District, particularly Wentworth, are alarming and require prompt response. One or two African-American men in dark attire have been using social media to recruit victims.
Online Xbox Sales Scheme: A Disturbing Trend Threatening Community Safety
The strategy involves promoting Xbox sales in select districts to lure unwary purchasers. After arriving, the victims are threatened with weapons and forced to hand over their money.
This disturbing trend occurred twice on December 24, 2023, in the 4000 block of South Federal St. between 7:30 and 8:30 P.M. These audacious acts create worries for community safety and security, as citizens must now be cautious while shopping online or responding to ads. Residents must be more vigilant due to the frequent occurrence in the same region. Police in the 2nd District are investigating these events and want anybody with knowledge to come forward to help catch the offenders.
Community members should be watchful and prioritize safety in light of these alarming events. Authorities advise care while making online purchases, especially on social media. Residents should also report suspicious behavior to the police immediately. We can improve 2nd District safety and well-being by encouraging law enforcement-community dialogue.
